Liverpool was drawn to Slot's history of exceeding expectations, notably leading AZ Alkmaar to joint league leadership in the 2019-20 season and achieving success with Feyenoord despite financial constraints. They admire his ability to develop talent and improve players, qualities validated by both analytical data and observable performance.
The Reds believe Slot's dynamic, attacking, possession-based style of play will provide continuity from the Klopp era. His preferred 4-2-3-1 formation aligns well with the current squad, and his effective communication skills, coupled with his fluency in English, make him an ideal fit for the role.
