The Egyptian superstar proved himself again.
With all the benefits, the best choice is clear.
Mohamed Salah celebrated his new Liverpool contract in style on Sunday, delivering a masterclass in the Reds' 2-1 win over West Ham – and in the process, shattered a Premier League record previously held by legends Thierry Henry and Erling Haaland.
Just days after putting pen to paper on fresh terms at Anfield, the Egyptian king tormented West Ham's teenage left-back Oliver Scarles before producing a moment of magic, curling an inch-perfect outside-of-the-boot cross for Luis Díaz to tap home. That assist took Salah to 45 goal involvements (27 goals, 18 assists) in just 32 league appearances – surpassing Henry (2002/03) and Haaland (2022/23), who both previously held the record (44) in a 38-game Premier League season.
With Liverpool now six points from glory, Salah’s red-hot form couldn’t have come at a better time. As the Kop chanted "We’re gonna win the league," their talisman proved once again why he’s irreplaceable.
